Report reaching DAILY POST has it that gunmen have invaded Umabor, Eha-Alumona town and sacked the residents.
A resident of Odobido village in Umabor, told our correspondent that the gunmen, who came in their numbers, have destroyed several properties in the area.
He alleged that the armed men were indigenes of Opi, in the same Nsukka Local Government Area, who have been in a protracted boundary dispute with Eha-Alumona town.
“For more than one year now, they sacked the people of Agbata in Agu Umabor and the government did nothing about it.
“Now, surprisingly, they have from beyond that village to Odobido; as I speak to you, they have chased everybody away”, the source stated.
It was further gathered that the police hierarchy in the state have been alerted over the development.
