Gunmen attack Dogara village in Kaduna

An attack by suspected Fulani gunmen on Gimi Dogara village in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State has claimed four lives with 15 houses completely razed.

DailyPost reports that the attack, which was launched around 11pm on Thursday, left the villagers running to different directions for safety.

The Chairman of the Local Government, Mr Emmanuel Adamu, who established the occurrence, expressed sadness over the development and described the attack as “retrogressive”. He said the recurrent attacks were depressing the peace building process introduced by the council. He restated his appeal to the attackers to drop their weapons and live in peace which will enhance progress.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Aminu Lawal, said he was yet to be updated on the alleged incident.

DailyPost recalls that not less than four villages in Sanga Local Government have been attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the past two months.
