A 67-year-old Lebanese, Afiye Abdulkarim, was in the wee hours of Tuesday, reportedly assassinated in Kano state.
Some unidentified assassins reportedly killed Abdulkarim without taking anything away from his house.
Abdulkarim, who has reportedly lived in Kano for over 30 years, was slaughtered at his residence in Unity Road after he was stabbed several times in the chest.
Confirming the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Muhammad Katsina, said the deceased, who was a factory worker, was virtually not known by his neighbours because he used to go out very early in the morning and returned late.
The CP recalled that the Lebanese’s murder came barely a day after one Umar Gumel, was slaughtered at his Yakasai house, right in the middle of the city.
The Commissioner told newsmen that four persons had been arrested in connection with the killing.
He said the deceased was suspected to have been slaughtered by his close associates, who might have disagreed with him over some issues.
According to him, the four suspects are now assisting the police in their investigation and as soon as investigation was concluded, the suspects would be charged to court.
