Governor Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe state has said that he is confident of winning 98 percent of the votes cast in the governorship election in the State.
The governor was speaking in Bukarti of Yunusari local government of Yobe state on Saturday shortly afr he cast his vote at 3:00 pm.
Speqking on the election, governor Geidam commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for ensuring early preparation and early accreditation in most of the polling units across the state.
He said, unlike during the Presidential and National Assembly election where there was a lot of problem with the card reader, the governorship and House of Assembly election show an improvement in the use of the card reader.
“It took sometime for me to be accredited during the last election but I could see that within few seconds I was done with my accreditation and returned home to wait for voting time, which is excellent. I assure you that this election will return me to Yobe Government House with 98 percent.” He added
