Former Bayern Munich midfielder, Stefan Effenberg, has claimed that Pep Guardiola will quit the Bundesliga champions, when his contract ends in June 2016.
The former Barcelona coach has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester City, amid his reluctance to begin discussions over a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
Some reports claim Guardiola has already signed an agreement with City and will replace Manuel Pellegrini next year.
Effenberg says his departure is inevitable and has called on the Bayern hierarchy to appoint Jurgen Klopp when the Spaniard leaves.
“I am pretty certain that Guardiola will no longer be in charge of Bayern after 2016,” Effenberg told Sky.
“Who could replace him? I am thinking about Jurgen Klopp. He is definitely an alternative for Guardiola in Munich”.
