Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, left out Kelechi Iheanacho from his squad to play Swansea City on Sunday.
It was the fourth consecutive game the Super Eagles forward has missed out on, since the January arrival of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras.
Iheanacho also missed the 4-0 victory over West Ham, the 3-0 win at Crystal Palace and the 2-2 draw at home with Tottenham Hotspurs.
Last month, Guardiola explained why the 20-year-old was not seeing much action.
“We have seven strikers, three in the middle, four or five wide. Normally we play two or three,” the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss told the Manchester Evening News.
“I don’t know how many others play. We play five or six offensive players and thanks to that we create a lot of chances.”
Jesus scored two goals for City, as they defeated Swansea 2-1 at the Etihad.
The win moved Guardiola’s men to third place on the table, 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.
City face Bournemouth next Monday while Swansea host Leicester City.
