Guardiola set to snatch Thiago from Manchester United’s grasp

According to reports, Manchester United are set to miss out on signing summer target, Thiago Alcantara, with the Barcelona midfielder now expected to sign for Bayern Munich.

David Moyes and United players have arrived in Bangkok, ahead of their tour of East Asia and Australia to news that Pep Guardiola, who gave Thiago his chance at Camp Nou, is ready to snap up the Spain international.

Spanish newspaper, Marca, are even confident that the 22-year-old will be unveiled as a Bayern player on Thursday.

If this new development proves true, it will be a big blow for Moyes, as he tries to replace the retired Paul Scholes, amidst doubts surrounding the futures of Darren Fletcher and Anderson.
