Guardiola set to replace Pellegrini at Manchester City

Manchester City are confident of luring Pep Guardiola from Bayern Munich this summer.

According to reports, City arw ready to wait until 2016 when Guardiola’s contract expires at the Allianz Arena – but they have been encouraged by recent developments.

The Spaniard is reluctant to sign a new deal with the back-to-back Bundesliga champions and the feeling is that he will not see out the remaining 12 months of his contract.

City are willing to make Guardiola the highest-paid manager in world football and make a massive transfer budget available, for him to rebuild the team.

However, if they fail to land the 44-year-old, the Etihad hierarchy will allow Manuel Pellegrini continue for one more season.
