Pep Guardiola has insisted that he will never return as coach of Barcelona, stating that his cycle at the club is over.
The Bayern Munich manager came to prominence as coach of the Catalan club, winning the Champions League twice and La Liga title three times, between 2008 and 2012.
Guardiola then left Barca and embarked on a 12-month sabbatical from football, before he took the vacant position at the Allianz Arena.
It has been suggested several times that he will one day return to Nou Camp, but the 43-year-old has now ruled out the possibility.
“In principle I won’t coach Barca again. I think that there are cycles in life and that mine [at Barca] finished,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“My wife has her work here [in Barcelona] and the idea is to come back and live here. But I don’t know when that will be.”
