A group, known as the Northern Youth Assembly, NYA, has criticized Asari Dokubo and Tompolo who are former Niger Delta militant leaders over their comments after a recent call by rtd General, T Y Danjuma that they should be apprehended.
The group disclosed this in a release signed by its President, Ambassador Ibrahim Waiya and the national publicity secretary Adikwu Omale Joshua yesterday in Abuja, noting that the former militant leaders were going back on the peace treaty they signed about two years ago.
The group said: “You were party to the peace accord at Owerri, the capital of Imo State, with some groups from the North and other parts of the country, on 12th September 2013, at the residence of Chief Ralph Uwazurike (the Leader of MASSOB)in which we the NYA also happened to be one of the signatories, an initiative which was facilitated by Major Hamza Al- Mustapha, on the belief that, you had sincerely regretted all your past atrocities and had also accepted to change for good.”
President Jonathan was called upon to immediately order the arrest of the ex- militant leaders over their recent war-threatening outburst.
