Governors storm Aso Rock for crucial meeting

The Nigerian Governors’ Forum is currently having a meeting at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting is being held at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, ahead of tomorrow’s meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), which will be presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Osinbajo earlier on Wednesday convened the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, after President Muhammadu Buhari failed to show up for the third consecutive week.
Buhari’s cabinet waited until 11am for him to show up, before the State House Chief of Protocols whispered into Osinbajo’s ears.
The Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa was also noticeably scanty, with only about 20 Ministers seated as journalists left.
