Kaduna State Governor, Mr. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa has been accused of imposing an incredible candidate to emerge as chairman of Jema’a, his Local Government Area.
It was learnt that the candidate identified as Daniel Amos, along two others, was earlier prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2005 in Lagos State for collecting over three million Naira by false pretence.
Reports say the governor is conspiring with the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other party top shots in the State to produce only one candidate, in the PDP primaries despite evidence of his prosecution by the EFCC.
Investigation revealed that Amos was arraigned before an Ikeja court on August 5, 2005, but allegedly disappeared after the first hearing.
Insiders say the trial is still on and the EFCC are currently looking for him.
