The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has appointed former Commissioner of Finance in the state, Kenneth Kobani as Secretary to the state government, SSG.
A statement signed by Opunabo Inko-Tariah said former Emohua Council Chairman, Emeka Woke was also appointed by the governor as Chief of Staff, Government House Port Harcourt, while Christian Opunabo Inko-Tariah was appointed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Media.
The statement said that other appointments made by the governor were Dr A. J Beredugbo as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation as well as Barrister Gilbert Nria and Imeh Fubara as Senior Special Assistants, Office of the Deputy Governor.
Relatively, the Rivers state House of Assembly had yesterday given a nod to the request made by the Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike to screen four Commissioner nominees and grant him approval to appoint seven Special Advisers into the state executive council.
The four Commissioner nominees that were screened include; Barr. Emmanuel Agumah, Barr. Emmanuel Okah, Barr. Onimin Jack-Briggs and Dr. Fred Kpakol.
