Reports reaching us say Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has been flown abroad after a ghastly motor accident involving his convoy.
A source said the Governor’s convoy was involved in a head-on collision in Orlu Local Government Area of the state and the Governor sustained head injuries.
According to the source, Governor Okorocha who drives himself on most cases was on a scheduled inspection tour to some state projects in the area when the accident occurred.
Ebere Ozoukwa, the Media Aide to the Governor, who confirmed the accident disclosed that the Governor’s convoy was involved in the accident in Orlu town in Orlu Local government area of the state.
“The Governor sustained a minor injury which is only a minor cut on his head, but he is presently in a good and stable condition and has been attended to by medical personnel”, the midia aide said.
He advised the general public especially Imo citizens not to “panic and should go about with their normal duties since the Governor is in a good and stable condition and responding to necessary treatment.”
Meanwhile, another source said Okorocha had been flown abroad for medical treatment over the injuries he sustained in the accident.
