Imo State Commissioner for Information, Mr Chinedu Offor, has disclosed that Gov. Rochas Okorocha is expected back in the state soon.
The Commissioner who made the statement in Owerre on Sunday, said Okorocha would soon be back in the state after having undergone a successful head scanning in a London hospital.
The commissioner quoted the medical personal that treated the Governor as saying, that the Governor did not sustain any head fracture or internal bleeding from the accident.
He relayed the Governor’s appreciation to the people of Imo for their concern and prayer for him, saying he would soon be back to continue his official duties.
Offor revealed that the Governor had been discharged and was expected to return to the hospital as an out-patient.
The Commissioner advised the people of the state to be calm and to go about their normal duties as the Governor was in good condition.
Okorocha was involved in a motor accident on Friday while returning from an official duty in Orlu.
He was reported to have sustained a minor cut on his head and was taken to a London hospital for examination. (NAN)
