Amb. Chidike Ukauwa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State, has slammed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for allegedly littering the state with campaign billboards and posters.
He explained that the governor had failed to bring infrastructural development to the state and that what the present government could boast of, since assumption of office, was inflicting hunger and poverty on the Abia people.
Ukauwa, who is also a governorship aspirant under the platform of the APC in Abia, made his feelings known, in a phone interview with DAILY POST on Thursday night.
According to him,”the problem we are having in the state is the Governor. He has abandoned his responsibility of providing infrastructural amenities to the people. The only infrastructure we are seeing in Abia today, is billboards mounted by the PDP-led government.
“Instead of the government to create massive employment for the Abia youths and revamp moribund industries scattered in Umuahia and Aba, the state government is wasting taxpayer’s money in erecting billboards.
“The government is not properly making use of the money from the federal allocation. Imagine everyday the state is being decorated with campaign billboards. This is not what the Abia masses want.
“What is Ikpeazu doing with our allocations? Nothing”.
