Governor Chime condoles President Jonathan over in-law’s death

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has expressed shock and sadness at the death of Mrs. Charity Iwari-Oba, mother of Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan.

The First Lady’s mother died in a ghastly motor accident along the Port Harcourt –Yenogoa Expressway way last Monday.

Chime, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chukwudi Achife, described the incident as tragic and unfortunate.

He expressed his condolences to Mrs. Jonathan, her husband and deceased’s in-law, President Goodluck Jonathan and the entire Iwari-Oba family of Okirika, Rivers State over the sad development.

Governor Chime prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased while asking God to give her survivors the fortitude to bear her untimely loss.
