Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has warned school contractors, administrators and management against poor execution of projects.
Bagudu gave the warning on Wednesday while inspecting a female hostel at Dr Amina Government Girls College, Birnin Kebbi, that was gutted by fire.
The governor directed school principals to actively supervise all contracts being executed in their institutions, to ensure that the quality of work was in line with contract specifications.
He gave assurance that the administration would provide libraries, textbooks, furniture laboratory and sporting facilities, to enhance the quality of learning in all public schools in the state.
The governor also pledged to deploy qualified teachers and enhance their welfare for optimal performance.
