Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has called on his new appointees to support his administration in providing good governance to the people of the state. Badaru made the call when he sworn in 13 commissioners in Dutse on Friday.
He urged them to see leadership as a call to serve, appealing that they should eschew using such position for self-enrichment.
The governor also urged them to be transparent, prudent and accountable in all their dealings in public service.
The new commissioners are Hussaini Garun-Gabas, Alhaji Adamu Sarki, Dr Abba Zakari, Alhaji Umar Namadi, Aminu Yakubu and Zhajiya Ishak.
Others are Alhaji Kabir Ali, Alhaji Ibrahim Hanun-Giwa, Hajiya Ladi Dansure, Alhaji Ahmed Babura, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, Alhaji Barau Gambasha and Alhaji Aminu Elleman.
The commissioners are yet to be assigned portfolios. (NAN)
