Governor Ayade’s former aide kidnapped in Cross River

The Director-General of Grand Evolution, Gab Adah, one of the numerous support groups for Governor Ben Ayade, has been kidnapped.

The victim was kidnapped in the night of Thursday by suspected gunmen.

The DG, who was a former member of Cross River Land Use Committee, was said to have left Bricks Cafe located at Parliamentary in Calabar where he was relaxing.

An eyewitness, who gave his name as Michael, said the victim was whisked away by gunmen at Efio-Ette roundabout close to the cafe.

According to him, “He was driving home from Bricks Cafe, near the Ayade power plant at parliamentary before he was double crossed close to Efio-Ette roundabout by gunmen who took him away.”

When journalists contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, she said the victim was kidnapped on Thursday night but that the police was yet to be informed officially, “Police has not been informed officially but I heard about it,” she stated
