Umaru Tanko Al-Makura
Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Al-Makura on Monday appointed Zainab Abdulmumini as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Ms. Abdulmumini who is the first woman to be appointed SSG since the creation of the state in 1996. was until her appointment, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Administration, Bulus Musa, in Lafia, said that Mr. Al-Makura would inaugurate the new SSG on a date to be announced later.
Al-Makura had in February dissolved his cabinet, including the former SSG, Hamza Elayo as well as all commissioners and special advisers.
The governor noted that the dissolution of the cabinet was not targeted at victimizing anyone, but to inject new blood into the administration in order to fast-track its transformation agenda in the state.
