Gov. Ugwuanyi does not interfere in our affairs – Enugu Speaker

The Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his leadership style that has made it possible for the executive and legislative arms of government to work harmoniously to entrench peace and good governance in the state.

The Speaker disclosed that Gov. Ugwuanyi does not interfere in the affairs of the state assembly, but gives them the free hand to discharge their responsibilities in accordance with the constitution of the country.

Hon. Ubosi who spoke at the flag off of the Local Government Election campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu East Local Government Area, also applauded the governor for his dexterity in prudent management of the state’s recources for the good of the entire state.

He described Gov. Ugwuanyi as “a good manager of Enugu State finances”, adding that the governor’s open door policy and peace initiatives have brought immeasurable fortunes to the state.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Transition Committee Chairman of the Council, Prince Cornelius Nnaji assured the governor that the party’s victory at the poll was guaranteed because of his (Ugwuanyi) good works, popularity and acceptability in the state.

Hon. Nnaji told Gov. Ugwuanyi that the large turnout of party faithful and supporters at the rally was a clear proof that the PDP is deep-rooted in the council area and the state at large.

The event also witnessed the presentation of “Ofor”, a symbol of authority, to the governor by the traditional rulers in the Local Government Area.

The party on the second day, equally flagged off its campaign in Isi-uzo Local Government Area in continuation of the preparation for the November 4 Council Elections.
