Rotimi Olulana
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Lagos State, Dr. Rotimi Olulana, has expressed optimism that he would defeat the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, in the election.
The candidate told Daily Sun that he would become the next governor of Lagos State by the grace of God.
Recalling that the candidate of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) in 1991, Chief Michael Otedola defeated the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Mr. Yomi Edu, in a miraculous way, Olulana said “this my governorship race is a divine project.
“By the grace of God, something will happen that will make things work in my favour such that people would opt for me”.
According to him, “people have seen what the APC can do in the state, having ruled for 16 years, just as the PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 years without bringing the real change the people wanted.”
Olulana insisted that PDP was not the right party for the country as it had failed to provide electricity for Nigerians in 16 years.
The LP standard bearer also took a swipe at the APC, saying Lagosians had now realised that the party could not take them to the promised land in view of alleged failure to bring the desired change for 16 years.
He, theredore, stressed that Lagos residents also wanted serious change which he promised to provide.
