Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has expressed gratitude to God for bringing back Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari back to the country alive.
Tambuwal said the safe return of the President indicated that God had answered the cries of Nigerians on the health of the president who had been out of the country for over 49 days.
Buhari, who returned on Friday said he would resume office on Monday.
Tambuwal, while speaking in Sokoto on Friday, said the country would continue to pray and stand by the President as he returns to work next week.
He stated that the return of President Muhammadu from a 50-day medical vacation abroad had re-energized the nation and had renewed the confidence Nigerians have on their President.
He said the unbridled joy displayed by many people across the nation showed that the country is united in their love for the President.
He said, “Nigerians from all walks of life prayed for their President, now that God has answered their prayers, culminating in safe return of the President, we should continue to pray for him and his family.
“The President has said he wants a few days of rest until he writes to the National Assembly before resuming work, he deserves that extra days and we should continue to pray for him and for the nation.”
“The President has shown uncommon commitment to solve the myriad of problems bedeviling the nation. We have absolute confidence in his ability to take us higher as a nation,” Tambuwal added.
