La Liga president, Javier Tebas, has revealed they will not consider using goal-line technology next season, because it is too expensive.
The system has been implemented successfully in the English Premier League since the 2013/2014 campaign and was also introduced in the German Bundesliga, the Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 last year.
However, Tebas says the system will not be used in Spain, due to the costs involved.
“No, we won’t use it. It costs a lot of money to have it,” he told Cope’s Tiempo de Juego programme.
