Giwa FC has appealed its expulsion from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Jos club were expelled by the League Management Company (LMC), for failing to honour three games cumulatively in one season – a clear breach of Rule B13.28 of the NPFL Rules and Framework.
However, in a response to the LMC verdict, secretary of Giwa FC, Samson Adamu, has acknowledged the decision, but also notified the LMC that they did not accept the ruling.
The letter reads: “The above subject matter refers. We are in receipt of your letter of 20th May, 2016 on the above subject matter. We hereby notify you that we do not accept any of the sanctions imposed on our club and further add that we elect to be dealt with by a commission”.
Giwa FC will now appear before a panel to present their appeal in the coming days.
