Arsene Wenger has revealed that Olivier Giroud is set to make a quick return to action, as he is “miles ahead of schedule”.
The striker has been out with a broken leg since August and was expected to recover in the New Year, but he could be available after the international break.
“He is doing very well. He’s three weeks ahead of schedule and I think he will join in normal training after the international break. He’s miles ahead of schedule,” Wenger said.
This comes as welcome news for the Arsenal manager, who is currently without senior players like Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Mathieu Debuchy.
