The presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention, PNC, Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama, has refuted claims he congratulated the flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Addo Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the “winner” of the 2016 Presidential elections.

Reports had made the rounds that he posted a congratulatory message on his Facebook page and Twitter handle, congratulating Nana Addo for winning the 2016 general elections based on his projections.

The message also stated that he called on other contenders to do same.

But Dr. Mahama swiftly refuted the report in a phone interview with CITI FM.

Also, the Chairman of the PNC, Mr Bernard Mornah, speaking on behalf of the presidential candidate told Graphic Online that Dr. Mahama does not have a Twitter handle from which the said congratulatory message was published.
