The former Liverpool captain, equalised with a typical curling shot in the 37th and almost added more.
He hit the bar, won a penalty and laid on the assist for Robbie Keane.
Keane helped himself to a hat-trick, scoring twice from the spot, as Galaxy claimed their fourth win in five games.
Gerrard featured in two non-league matches earlier this week. .
