Steven Gerrard has reportedly had talks with MK Dons over their vacant managerial role.
Gerrard confirmed earlier this week, that his time in Major League Soccer (MLS) was over and he was returning to England for the next chapter of his career.
The former Liverpool captain, spent two seasons with Los Angeles Galaxy and has been linked with a coaching return to Anfield.
Gerrard is working towards a UEFA ‘A’ coaching licence and according to Sky sources, he has had preliminary talks with the club owned by Pete Winkelman.
MK Dons recently sacked manager Karl Robinson, as they continue to struggle in League One. They are 21st on the table, ahead of this weekend’s game against Bristol Rovers and have not won since October 1.
Interim boss, Richie Barker, will remain in charge until a permanent coach is appointed.
