Nigerian national team handler, Gernot Rohr on Thursday visited Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger and Chelsea’s Technical Director, Mike Emenalo to reportedly discuss the early release of Super Eagles players at the clubs.
Ahead of the Eagles’ 2018 World Cup clash against the Desert Warriors of Algeria in Uyo next month, the coach is seeking early release of Nigerian players – Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi for the match.
The Franco-German has won his first two games in charge of the former African champions and hopes to secure a third win on the bounce when they host the Fennecs of Algeria on November 12.
A tweet on the official handle of the senior national team confirms the meeting.
“@NGSuperEagles T. A Gernot Rohr in London. Met with @Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger and @ChelseaFC’s Mike Emenalo & Captain @mikel_john_obi,” the handle tweeted on Wednesday.
