Gbenga Daniel mourns late Chief Bayo Kuku

The immediate past Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has expressed his deep condolence on the death of Chief Bayo Kuku, (CON), the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland and Chairman, Council of Ijebu Chiefs.

In his message to the head of the Kuku dynasty in Ijebu Ode, Otunba Daniel described late Chief Bayo Kuku as an accomplished legal practitioner and a man of huge corporate experience who distinguished himself as a consumate entrepreneur, astute administrator, exemplary community leader and passionate philanthropist.

“His contributions to the socio-economic development of the country are immense evidence of which was his appointment as the President of Nigerian Stock Exchange between 1987 and 1991”.

“Though he lived up to old age, the news came to me as a shock that one of the most illustrious sons of Ijebu is no more. His passage is a huge loss”.

On behalf of his family, the former governor joined the Kuju dynasty, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba II, the Awujale of Ijebuland, the good people of Ijebu and other Nigerians in mourning the late Ogbeni Oja while praying for the repose of his soul taking solace in the fact that the late Ogbeni Oja lived a fulfilled life and left behind enduring legacies.
