Gareth Southgate confirmed as England manager on four-year deal

The Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Gareth Southgate, as the new permanent manager of England.

According to ESPN FC, Southgate has signed a four-year contract to coach the Three Lions.

The 46-year-old took over as interim boss, after Sam Allardyce’s shocking departure in September and was in charge for the 2018 World Cup qualification wins over Malta and Scotland.

The team is currently two points clear of second-placed Slovenia in Group F with four matches played.

Southgate will take charge of the team as full-time manager for the first time when they play Germany in a friendly on March 22 in Dortmund.
