Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has waded into the face-off between suspended member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, Speaker Yakubu Dogara and other principal officers of the House.
The lawmaker hails from Kano State and was suspended from House for 180 legislative days for exposing budget fraud allegedly committed by some principal officers of the green chamber.
Jibrin, who represents Bebeji/Kiru federal constituency, was until his suspension, the Chairman, Committee on Appropriation.
DAILY POST gathered that Ganduje has reached out to Dogara and impressed the need to resolve the matter, which is now in court, amicably.
As part of the reconciliation efforts, the governor on Monday invited the Chief Whip of the House, Alhassan Doguwa, and Jibrin.
In the parley, he enjoined them to bury the hatchet and forgive one another, noting that unity and peace should always reign regardless of disagreements.
Also in attendance at the meeting were deputy governor of the state, Hafeez Abubakar and the state chairman, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Abbas.
