Ganduje: EFCC speaks on bribe videos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it cannot take action yet, as series of videos that seemed to show Governor Umar Ganduje taking bribes from public works contractors in Kano State, go viral online.

DAILY POST reports that two videos have already been leaked on the Internet and there are believed to be up to 13 more.

Ganduje, in a statement on Sunday, insisted that the clips were “cloned”.

“If they are talking about issues, let them resolve their issues.

“Whether we are going to look at it is a different matter, but for now, I do not know anything,” Wilson Uwujaren, a spokesperson for the EFCC, told Premium Times on Monday.

Uwujaren, however, refused to confirm whether or not an investigation would be conducted into the scandal.
