The Bauchi State federal road safety said it has arrested 172 traffic offenders in the state for various traffic offences
The sector commander Mr Paul Gua told DAILY POST in an interview that about five mobile courts have been put in various locations to execute the charges against the offenders.
The arrests, Gua noted, were made in Toro, Darazo, Bara town, Alkaleri and Bauchi metropolis.
He stressed that among the traffic offences were over speeding, over loading, making calls while driving, using worn out tyres.
He said that about 165 offenders had so far been convicted by the mobile courts.
The FRSC boss also hinted that the command had recently carried out public rallies in six motor parks, including radio and television programs on traffic rules and regulations, with a serious warning on road users to obey road signs.
