Fresh facts emerge on how two ABSU students died in Young Shall Grow motor accident

Fresh facts have emerged on the recent death of two students of the Abia State University, ABSU, who lost their lives in a fatal accident in Imo State.

The students, who were believed to be from the same parents, lost their lives in the luciferous mishap involving a bus owned to Young Shall Grow Transport Company.

Report has it that the deceased were going to visit their parents when the accident happened during the week around Okigwe.

An eyewitness told DAILY POST that the accident happened while the driver was trying to slot in a CD plate on the car stereo.

According to the source, who survived the incident, the driver was trying to change a CD plate on the car stereo and rammed into a pothole before losing control of the steering and collided with an oncoming trailer.

The source said, “I have never seen this kind of driver in my entire life. Right from the park, he was just playing music disturbing all passengers. We complained that the music was too loud, and besides, he was just playing Ghanaian music, which none of us understood.

“He ignored us until he was satisfied and wanted to slot in another CD plate when he rammed into a pothole. In the process of trying to dodge the hole, he lost control of the steering and had head-on-collision with an oncoming trailer.

“That was how innocent children lost their lives. It was God who saved the rest of us. Another 3-year-old baby lost her limb.

“I have vowed never to travel with the company again. The driver was so rude and talked to his passengers as though they were not humans.”

Meanwhile, several calls to the company’s corporate department for comment were ‘forwarded to another number which failed to connect.
