The Head of Clinics and Training, at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, Justin Acho has been removed following the long time stand-off in the hospital.
The hospital has been enmeshed in so much crisis following allegations of financial misconduct against some of its staff.
An anonymous source at the EFCC office in Enugu told our correspondent that some of the personnel of the hospital are still under the commission’s investigation.
Though the source didn’t say specifically whether Acho is one of those being investigated.
However, the power play in the hospital has reached its peak with Acho’s removal over alleged misconduct and non-compliance with the directives of the board in running his unit.
“The last straw that broke the camel’s back was that Acho beat up a student and seized his cell phone, despite directive from the COMMAND that the phone be returned.
“Against laid down procedure, he employed his sister as a worker in the hospital library without the board’s approval.
“I think peace will now return to this hospital because he has been behind series of problems here”, the source further alleged.
Meanwhile, Acho did not respond to several calls put across to him.
When a text message was sent to him, he replied, “Tell your informant to go and secure genuine qualifications before he can talk among professionals. The law will eventually catch up with all charlatans and pretenders. It’s a question of time”.
