Former Deputy Senate President, Wash Pam is dead

The death has been announced of former second republic Deputy Senate President, John Wash Pam.

Pam passed away on Thursday at the National Hospital, Abuja around 1.25pm as a result of complications from prostrate cancer. He was 73.

His death was confirmed by his first son, Mr. Ganan Wash Pam and his Special Assistant, Mr. Williams Chieshe (Jnr).

His Special Assistant said, “Baba has died, he has been battling with prostrate cancer for a while now.

The late Wash Pam was Deputy Senate President to senator Joseph Wayas from 1979 to 1983.

Until his demise, Pam was a prominent Berom elder from Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State.

He’s survived by two wives and 18 children.
