Several houses have been submerged, as valuables worth millions of naria were swept away following a devastating flood that hit Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
The flood came as a result of a heavy downpour that lasted over four hours across the city overnight into the early hours of Monday.
DAILY POST observed that houses around the Pila, Uni-Agric Road, Nyiman, Idye and Naka road areas have been submerged while occupants have been rendered homeless.
