Head coach of Nigerian women’s U-17 team, Bala Nikyu, has assured that the girls will be ready for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The competition kicks off in two weeks in Jordan.
Nikyu was also in charge of the Flamingoes for the 2014 edition in Costa Rica, where they got to the quarter-finals.
He said: “There has been remarkable improvement in my players since they resumed camp in July and now.
“I am happy to say they have been adhering to instructions during training sessions; they are much fitter now and are playing more cohesively. The mistakes that we noted when we started the camp have been largely corrected.”
Nigeria will take on Brazil in their first match on October 1, before playing England and Korea Republic.
