Liverpool have sent five players home from their training camp in Evian, after being bolstered by the returns of several key players.
Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah all returned from international duty, as the Reds beat Lyon 3-1 in Geneva on Wednesday.
Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri are also back from injury layoffs.
As a result, summer signing Sepp van den Berg as well as fellow youngsters Ki-Jana Hoever, Yasser Larouci, Adam Lewis and Bobby Duncan have left the training camp early, after featuring in last night’s game, according to the Liverpool Echo .
Their 29-man squad taken to France has been trimmed to allow them to step up their preparations for Sunday’s Community Shield against Manchester City.
Despite sending a number of players home as planned, manager Jurgen Klopp admitted after their Lyon game he is unsure if Salah, Firmino and Alisson will be fit enough to start against the Premier League champions.
