It may be just one of those occasional hypes planted in the media, but if nationwide reports are anything to go by, Nigeria’s First Lady Patience Jonathan will this afternoon return home.
Mrs. Jonathan has been out of the country for about seven weeks for treatment of an undisclosed illness and her long absence has raised suspicion from different quarters.
Presidency sources maintains she is “away on rest but hale and hearty”
Mrs. Jonathan, it was learnt is expected back in Abuja today after a prolonged stay at Horst Schmidt Klinik hospital, Wiesbaden, Germany.
Meanwhile, reports coming in say a huge crowd including some government officials and female members of the Peoples Democratic Party, are heading towards the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to await the arrival of First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
They took off from the party’s headquarters in Wuse district and are being led by the PDP women leader.
We have been informed also that other party members are rushing to the airport with much anxiety to receive her Excellency.
The convoy with dozens of government and private cars bearing banners is about now heading to the Airport.
The media had today reported the story of the impending return of Mrs. Jonathan.
