First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, was in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Monday, to condole with the Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Almakura, and his wife over the death of the governor’s mother-in-law, Hajia Aisha Musa. Hajia Musa, 85, passed on in the early hours of Monday and has been buried according to the Islamic rites. Senators Ahmed Lawan, Abdullahi Adamu and Solomon Ewuga, among others, accompanied the President’s wife.

Speaking, Hajia Buhari prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

He urged the family to take solace in the fact that Hajia Musa lived a life worthy of emulation.

In his remark, Lawan, who led the delegation of the senators, also prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss, adding that they came to share with the Al-Makura’s family in their hour of grief.

“God knows why she has to go at this time. We pray that her soul will rest in peace,” the lawmaker added.

Responding, Al-Makura thanked his guests for finding time to physically sympathise with the family.

“Thank you for sympathising with the family at our trial moment, only God will reward you,” he added.

The deceased’s daughter, Aisha Dahiru Ibrahim, described her mother as a generous, loving and accommodating person, who preached peace among her children and other people.
