Fire on Sunday December 24 night, razed down Heavens Night Club in Bendel Estate, Effurun near Warri,Delta State.
Properties worth several millions of naira were destroyed as a result of the inferno which started at about 11pm.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as at press time.
A source who craved anonymity told DAILY POST that the fire was so terrible as clubbers had to scamper for safety with many of them losing personal effects including cash and phones.
The source added that men of the fire service from Delta State allegedly arrived the scene when the multi-million naira club had already been razed down.
According to the source, “It took the intervention of policemen who swooped into the area to save the fighters from the hands of an angry mob who were ready to take their pound of flesh from them.”
Managers of the club which was opened barely six months ago were not on ground to speak to our Delta State Correspondent when he visited the scene of incident.
