Goods reportedly worth millions of Naira were on Tuesday lost to a late night inferno that gutted the popular Mararaba market in Nasarawa State.
Although, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, the outbreak started at about 8pm.
While residents attempted to put out the fire which consumed some shops, some traders scampered for safety across a nearby pedestrian bridge and some others carried their trading stock on their heads to salvage their goods.
As at press time, it was uncertain if casualties were recorded in the inferno, Daily Trust gathered.
