FIFA has upheld the results of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive committee elections, which were conducted on September 30.

In a letter addressed to the Glass House, the world football governing body confirmed they have backed the majority report of the NFF electoral appeal committee, which upheld the elections held in Warri.

“We note the majority decision of the electoral appeals committee to uphold in their entirety the results of the elective congress held in Warri on 30 September 2014,” read the letter in part.

“We are therefore pleased to be able to start working with the new office bearers headed by NFF president, Amaju Pinnick. We will contact you in the coming days to organise an introductory meeting between Mr Pinnick and FIFA president in Zurich.”

According to AfricanFootball, FIFA is expected to arrange an introductory meeting between its president Sepp Blatter and Pinnick.
