FIFA U-17 World Cup: Eaglets begin with win over USA

The Golden Eaglets began the defence of their FIFA U-17 World Cup crown, with a comfortable 2-0 win over the United States of America on Saturday.

Although Nigeria started brightly and dominated the entire first half, they had to wait until the second half to register their goals.

Chukwudi Agor and Victor Osimhen scored for the Eaglets at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, Santiago De Chile, as they claimed their first victory of the tournament.

Emmanuel Amuneke’s team is on a quest to win the championship for a fifth time.
