FIFA has announced that the next presidential elections, will be held at a special congress on February 26, 2016.
The election will determine who will replace Sepp Blatter, who has held the role at the world football governing body since 1998.
Blatter and vice-president, Michel Platini, have both been suspended for 90 days, as Swiss authorities investigate allegations of corruption and bribery.
Platini is aiming to replace Blatter, but FIFA insists they will not recognise his candidacy while his ban is still in place and he cannot campaign as well.
However, the former France international may be eligible, if his suspension is lifted before the election date.
Others expected to contest include Prince Ali bin al-Hussein, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain, former Trinidad and Tobago midfielder, David Nakhid and ex-Tottenham defender, Ramon Vega.
