FIFA clears Manchester United over Pogba deal, Juventus under investigation

FIFA has cleared Manchester United of any wrongdoing over Paul Pogba’s transfer, but will investigate Juventus.

It came after reports that the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, will earn more than £41million from the deal.

FIFA has now confirmed United will face no further action.

It is, however, understood that Raiola’s agreement with the Serie A side, could have breached third-party ownership rules.

“We can confirm that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Juventus FC. We cannot comment further as proceedings are ongoing. We can confirm that no disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Manchester United,” a FIFA spokesman said on Tuesday.

If they are found guilty, the Seria champions could be hit with a punishment; possibilities range from a fine to a transfer ban.
